Since 1989 the NICHE Magazine holds a competition for various categories in Fine Craft (such as jewelry, woodworking, basketry and also fiber art (art quilts, decorative art, and wearable art). I submitted 3 of my pieces and 3 is the maximum number an artist can submit. From more than 1600 submissions for all categories only 180 pieces were chosen as finalists for the NICHE Award. All three of my pieces were accepted as finalists!
