Monday’s Mantra: When you talk

“When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new.” – Dalai Lama XIV

Last week, on July 6, the 14th Dalai Lama celebrated his 82. birthday.

One does not need to be a Tibetan Buddhist to recognize the wisdom of the current Dalai Lama. He practices love, compassion and – as today’s quote points out – listening. “When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new.”
May we all follow his example in our own daily life by practicing love, compassion, and listening.

Wishing you a wonderful week!
