Is happiness the same as having fun? Or is there a deeper meaning?
Is it the feeling of excitement when you reach a goal? Is it the sense of competence when mastering a skill? Is it the exhilaration of being the center of attention, or can happiness surface in the quiet time of solitude? Is it a ‘side effect’ of contentment and satisfaction? Of harmony and inner peace? Does happiness constitute success, triumph and victory? Or can a ‘small step in the right direction’ amount to happiness?
Can a fleeting moment of bliss count as ‘happiness’? Can a minute of mindfulness result in happiness? Or is happiness defined as a feeling which lasts longer than just the sensation of transient glee?
Does happiness arise from fulfillment and leading a meaningful life? Is happiness caused by the delight of receiving or the pleasure of giving? From not only searching for our own joy, but striving to lift others up? To show genuine respect to someone who is different from us, to listen attentively to a person sharing their fears, to ease their struggle even if it’s only through a small act of kindness?
Can happiness be achieved by just living in the present or does it require working for an event in the future?
What does ‘happiness’ mean to you and how can you attain it when the point of life is happiness?
Wishing you a wonderful week filled with heartfelt happiness.
