As humans, we feel most safe in an environment that is reliable, consistent, and familiar.
Nevertheless, we experience frequent changes. Changes in relationships, in our surroundings, in our health.
We might not like the changes we are facing, but there is nothing gained from ignoring or avoiding the new circumstances, or in blaming others for the transformation. Nor is it beneficial for anyone to try to hold on to the status quo when the context requires a different direction.
Be aware of what has changed. Other people’s behavior? Or is it our attitude? The depth we bring to a conversation? Our sense of happiness or contentment?
Then acknowledge the change. In some instances, others might have wronged us, but most likely, it is nobody’s ‘fault’. We might have held on to a belief until it was no longer accurate. The best way to accept change is to be actively involved in it by taking charge of a new path. Not seeing yourself as a victim but taking steps to move forward with purpose.
Change is inevitable, it is an attribute of living. Become aware of it and learn to accept it.
Wishing you a wonderful week with an open mind for change!
